At Fraser-Volpe LLC, we pride ourselves as out-of-the-box problems solvers with a focus toward product development. The group is comprised of experts in the disciplines of mechanical, electrical, optical, software and reliability engineering, and in combination, excels at the creation of innovative opto-mechanical and electro-optic systems.
Marketable ideas are brought from the conceptual phase to the production phase in an extremely quick, but methodical process. With a strong program management focus governed by ISO 9001:2008, the project is quickly dissected into system requirements, reviewed, and fully planned in all phases. To reduce design time and to improve accuracy, the latest powerful software is employed in all design disciplines. ZEMAX is our primary software tool for optical designs, ORCAD is our main electrical software package, and SOLIDWORKS (3-D) is the mechanical CAD software platform. The outputs of each of these packages are easily linked together to integrate the designs and perform additional analyses. The completed assembly becomes an "electronic prototype", allowing the first set of parts to fit together with a much higher degree of certainty.
The Company uses state-of-the-art equipment for analysis and testing, from ZYGO interferometers to K&E collimators, conquering a wide variety of complex system alignment challenges. Our environmental testing facilities allow us to conduct tests in all types of conditions ensuring that the finished product will be sufficiently robust to withstand the harshest of environments.
